        (Angela Hallendy- Founder of Silkstories)

 

Angela Hallendy is an experienced educator working in the field of arts integration. She plays a lead role in recreational programming for seniors and has been recognized for her proactive insights in therapeutic care.  

 

She has authored and e-course for Forsyth Park Learning, Toronto, Ontario (2013).

 

Other accomplishments include creating a quick reference guide to palliative care for non-registered staff.

 

She continues to develop quality programming for healing through the arts/palliative care utilizing her knowledge of storytelling and nature incorporating her insights from her horticultural diploma from Algonquin College to provide excellent care during 'life transitions' for many seniors in the region.

 

Angela has utilized her wealth of knowledge gained from experience in curriculum program design and strong, community interpersonal relationships to create a series of hands-on, unique workshops where stories with floral themes are painted on delicate silk scarves and passed on for generations to come.
